Oh Bouy! Bateaux London And Reckless Win Best Travel And Tourism Website
Mon 16th Oct
The Northern eCommerce Awards celebrate exceptional websites, platforms, in house marketing teams and agencies from across the North of England.
Competition in the ‘Travel & Tourism’ category was fierce, so much so that the judges decided not to release a shortlist.
Reckless worked with the capital’s leading dining cruise experience to launch a new website back in September 2016.
Within 10 days of launch the site enjoyed a 400 per cent increase in the number of mobile transactions, a 219 per cent increase in the e-commerce conversion rate and a 60 per cent increase in the number of users interacting with the site all on mobile devices.
Since then, the performance of the site has continued to go from strength to strength, demonstrated by the award of ‘Best Travel & Tourism eCommerce Website’.
“We are over the moon to have been awarded ‘Best Travel & Tourism eCommerce Website’ at this year’s Northern eCommerce Awards.
From the initial pitch, we really felt Reckless ‘got’ our brand and understood our challenges and ambitious vision.
We have worked really closely throughout the project which resulted in the launch of a site we are immensely proud of and our consumers enjoy to use.”
Gareth Brown, Marketing Manager at Bateaux London.
Reckless will continue to support Bateaux London with their digital transformation.
When discussing future ambitions, Client Services Director at Reckless, Kate Upton added;
“Winning this award is testament to the hard work by both the Reckless and Bateaux London team, however, we won’t stop here.
Our vision is to continue to enhance and refine the website so performance is continually improving and supporting Bateaux’s commercial ambitions.”
The win comes just days after Reckless successfully launched a bespoke website for sister Sodexo brand, Prestige Venues & Events, results from which are expected to be announced later this month.
