Ad Tech Veteran Ben Barokas Joins Platform161 Board

Admeld Founder Joins Leading Modular Programmatic Buying Platform as it Expands in US

Ben Barokas, the founder of both Admeld and SourcePoint, has joined the board of Platform161, Europe’s leading programmatic buying platform, with immediate effect.

Ben sold Admeld to Google in 2011, going on to run Google’s Global Marketplace Development team for three years. Following that, he founded Sourcepoint, the first content compensation platform for publishers, where he is currently CEO. He previously ran advertising at JumpTV, and also spent 6 years at AOL running ad product development and operations.

Ben Barokas said, “I am a great believer in Platform161’s technology, and its modular approach. Platform161 is giving brands and agencies not just greater flexibility, but greater diversity of choice in forming their media buying strategies. And the ability to develop more distinct approaches – to apply ad tech more creatively, is just what the market needs.”

“We are extremely pleased to announce Ben has joined our board. His experience and track record in ad tech speak for themselves, and we can’t wait to see the benefit his unique perspective adds to the team.As we continue to expand outside of our core European markets, our US business is an increasingly important part of what we do. And here again, we are happy to have Ben on the team as a hugely valuable support to those efforts.” Marco Kloots, CEO and Co-Founder, Platform161
