Fitbit Becomes Official Partner Of The X Factor UK For 2016

While pounding a treadmill and belting a ballad might appear at first to be unlikely allies, Fitbit is hoping to inspire the nation’s reality TV fans to keep healthy as the official partner of the X Factor 2016.

 

Following The Finalists

The show’s thirteenth season is in full swing, and with it comes a brand new marketing campaign by Fitbit, which has recruited the show’s contestants to wear, test and record their health and wellness using the popular device. Fitbit’s health and fitness tracking devices have been rising in popularity since the company was founded in 2007, and are now carried in 54,000 stores in 64 countries. A growing interest in healthy living and well-being has allowed fitness solutions like Fitbit to race to success, and now they are teaming up with the X Factor as another way to connect with their customers.

 

Viewers will be able to get even closer to their favourite acts by following their progress with the Fitbits online, with access to exclusive video content showing how the performers are looking after their health during the show’s production.

 

“Bringing People Together”

“We are very excited to be an official X Factor partner this year, this is a first for us as a brand,” says Lucy Sheehan, Fitbit UK marketing director. “Much like Fitbit, The X Factor celebrates feel-good moments that bring people together. Using a Fitbit tracker offers people the ability to monitor so much more than just steps, we can now look at our sleep productivity and maintain a healthier outlook on well-being. Plus with PurePulse technology, contestants will be able to continuously track their heart rate during dance practice, live show moments and even the impact on their resting heart rate as the pressure builds!”

 

As well as giving viewers an exciting glimpse of the X Factor’s offstage experience, Fitbit are also bringing fans into the action, running competitions across social media and the dedicated Fitbit brand page at Argos for the chance to win tickets to the live final. Perhaps fans on the sofa at home will be inspired to get exercising with their favourite performers, for a chance at seeing them live?
