Social Media Marketing Seminar 28 January 2016
Last year saw significant developments across all the major social platforms. Instagram established itself as the king of engagement, beating Facebook and Twitter. Brands including Vodafone and Unilever started making successful use of Snapchat’s deeply immersive offering and the access it provides to young, engaged users on the go. Periscope further extended the possibilities of streaming video. And everywhere we saw a focus on social channels’ role in the conversion process in the form of buy buttons. At this session we’ll be looking forward to the next 12 months on social media, finding out how to counter content fatigue and focusing on those all-important measurement metrics.

At this session we’ll be examining the new rules of engagement and finding out why content, trust and authority are key signals. Barracuda Digital will be putting Google’s new RankBrain algorithm on the couch and explaining how machine learning is enabling Google to better understand user intent. Search Laboratory will analyse the principles of content creation. And Builtvisible will explain how to develop content that meets real KPIs, not meaningless SEO metrics.
