Essence is an award-winning digital agency with four core areas of expertise: media, social, creative and design & build. We operate from offices in London and New York, delivering work on a global scale.
In 2005 the founders of Essence were the senior marketing team of a two million UK customer direct financial services business at Lloyds TSB. As clients ourselves we met and worked with many agencies, but didn’t find one we felt could do what we did. As a result we spun out Essence, initially in an exclusive relationship with Carphone Warehouse Group, and later with other clients. Today our clients include Google, eBay, Expedia, Ancestry.co.uk, Syco, and many more (large and small).
Since becoming independent, Essence has enjoyed rapid growth and has been profitable every year. By 2011, Essence was ranked #2 in The Drum 100 List of Digital Media Agencies and was winner of Media Momentum’s ‘Fastest Growing Larger Media Company in Europe’ award.
