Brief

After extensive focus group research to ascertain the areas for improvement within the old space2 brand and website, a rebrand and relaunch took place. 

Strategy

Key areas for improvement included more product imagery, and largery imagery - born out of the fact that space2 only trade online, ability to buy on the category page, better areas for promotion, updatable home page, a filtration system to allow people to focus their searches, and a more streamlined basket process.

Execution

The colour palette selected for the rebrand was borne out of extensive research into the ideal colours people are currently using in their homes, alongside the brand attributes. The photography was styled in an inspirational but inexpensive manner that could easily be replicated and its prominence was greatly increased on all category and product pages.
The job of the home page was to inspire and surprise people - they really can have beautiful homes at a surprisingly low cost, balancing this off against the needs of an ecommerce website.

A ‘Get the look’ section was created to demonstrate the flexibility and variety of product and how it can work across styles and eras. The need for such a section arose from customer research, people want to enjoy and research their search for furniture and this section is styled as an online magazine that can be scrap-booked and referenced at a later date.

The customer is very much at the heart of the website - products are categorised by room, item, style, colour and description, to make it as easy as possible to find what they are looking for.

space2 benefits from a close partnership with leading-edge interior designer Abigail Ahearn who contributes to the space2 blog and newsletters, adding credibility and stand out to the brand.

Results

The results include an increase in visits and conversion.
