Brief
Portal help world leading brands to provide exceptional customer services, but their out-dated website wasn’t doing them any favours. Our brief was to take their marketing messages and newly defined company values to design a new brand which would help establish Portal as a leading force in the industry.
The previous website had not generated a single lead for Portal and it was clear to see why. Competing in a very technical market, we needed to build a site that spoke to perspective Portal customers in a clear language and help to encourage them to make contact or leave their details.
Strategy
Portal were keen to have a strong brand and were happy to give us a creative license to create something striking and out of the ordinary for a technology company.
Being a technology services company, we also had a lot of information that we needed to give to the user in a clear and concise manner and so the sitemap, content and page structures were strongly considered before the site build was commenced.
Execution
Developing the company brand initially helped us to establish a strong design for the website.
The site features a fully featured content management system, allowing Portal to add new pages, edit existing content and manage the sidebars on every page. A case study management module allows new case studies to be published to the home page of the site. Banner management on the home page give Portal the power to promote any content they wish to new visitors.
Results
Teamed with a strong brand and new marketing messages, we were able to create an attractive site that is fully content managed. To make the site more personal we also ran a photo shoot of the office and staff so that they could feature throughout and give a better impression to potential customers.
With clear calls to action, the finished site is a million miles away from what they had previously and is helping to propel the business forward with greater credibility and better lead generation, which has generated new business for Portal.
