An example of how brands are drawing on traditional brand engagement concepts but now tapping into the power of Facebook to drive social uplift.
Brief
We teamed up again with our friends in Splendid to bring this quirky social experience for luxury snack brand, KETTLE® Chips. Create an immersive social experience that could create an emotion connection between the brand and everyday life.
Strategy
Here we ask fans to choose a flavour and submit their perfect KETTLE® moment. The rich media interface is slick and clean and the nifty 3D floating effect makes for an engaging brand experience that is serving well to attract more fans and get brand interactions flowing in.
Where it gets social is when real Facebook users are displayed with their profile pics and their stories, streaming live into the application. Each submission is accompanied with a wall post to the user’s Facebook profile which is instantly shared among their friends in the news feed.
Execution
The result is a truly immersive brand experience that harnesses the social graph and increases fan acquisition on the KETTLE® Facebook page. In a rich media environment, moments float by according to their chosen flavor, profile pics and names are clearly shown linking to the actual users, and each of these can be expanded to view the moment.
Results
How these fans are retained and managed is the subject of this year’s ongoing social media campaign for the brand, but these innovative concepts are proving a success in maintaining its social image online. The stories are coming in fast, fans are growing by the thousands, and it's great to see how many weird and wonderful moments have happened over a bag of the nation’s favorite snacks.
