Brief

Established as one of the UKs market leaders in delivering flat fee online recruitment services, Guru help employers identify, target and attract the right people to their jobs via the use of online methods (job boards, social networks, SEO, Searching etc.) Attracting over 1 million ad views last year Guru needed a new website to define a clear sales message, maximise sales conversions and engage users.

Strategy

At Guru, we actively encourage all our employees to have a say and get involved in what we do, so the site needed to be more than just an online brochure. Our developers took this on board and built a site that centres around a CMS, from which we plumb everything in to, social feeds, marketing, sales CRM etc. Yo Yo Design jumped on board to provide the final finishing touches and bring the whole project to life, including the production of a 90 second video promo.

Targeting the B2B sector our primary audience of MDs and Senior Management are likely to have arrived at our site via some previous form of marketing activity, so it was important for us to re-establish our brand message and reaffirm our market position from the first click.

Execution


Built using PHP / MySQL it sits on a bespoke Open Source platform utilising scripts to provide additional functionality. Yo Yo Design were engaged to create some of the final finishing touches including the Flash video promo, however the launch goes much deeper that just the aesthetics of the site. As part of a wider marketing strategy we integrated our CRM to improve the sales process and provide greater ROI tracking we also developed and improved existing marketing touchpoints, e-newsletters etc to deliver the message through.

The launch encompassed the following:
 

  • Complete site rebuild including a fresh look and feel.
  • New content throughout, including video testimonials, video promos.
  • Internal CRM Workflow development to enhance lead generation and improve the sales funnel.
  • Web form CRM integration enabling us to channel customer enquiries to the correct departments.
  • Re-design of e-newsletter templates and associated landing zones.
  • Social network integration, Twitter, Flickr, Linkedin, Last.FM.


Results

We love the results, an engaging website that provides a strong sales message but is also balanced by the friendly social interaction from employees. Feedback from our existing clients has been very positive and overall we hope that these changes signal our intent to become market leaders in the flat fee recruitment sector.
