Brief


EcoForecourt is a brand new automotive website with a unique green twist. Listing only vehicles with 130g/km C02 or less, the site is designed to attract visitors looking to save money on fuel and road tax whilst doing their bit to help the environment.

EcoForecourt set out to diminish the stigma associated to eco cars and to ‘make eco cool’. Rawnet was tasked with turning this concept into reality from brand identity through to design, build and launch.

Strategy

The aim of EcoForecourt is clear; to inform, educate and influence its users purchasing decisions when buying their next car. This led us to a clear strategy. The need to provide eco credentials clearly, in an easy to understand manner was key. This needed to be reflected in the search facility too, and to make it super straight forward for users to buy and sell their cars online.

Execution

With a clean and fresh design, intuitive functionality and layout we achieved the goals. Integration to the DVLA database ensures vehicle data is accurate and makes for a slick and streamline process for the end user. A bespoke backend was provided so that the EcoForecourt team can easily manage their stock, members and content online.
The site is also integrated into key vehicle feeds so that dealers can promote their eco-friendly fleet automatically. A search widget was also created so that bloggers, car and green websites can provide a like eco-vehicle search facility from right within their website.

Results

Backed by a bank of cutting edge eco news, social media integration and an enthusiastic online community the word is spreading. Already sellers are seeing the benefits of advertising their vehicle on EcoForecourt. The site is receiving an abundance of traffic from a wide range of search terms and dealers are starting to hear “we found you on EcoForecourt” a lot more often.
