Brief

BeCheeky.com, is an online lingerie retailer which caters for men and women who want to buy for their partners. Minute Steak and BeCheeky.com have been working together since 2008 across PPC and SEO. BeCheeky.com approached Minute Steak to manage both its PPC and SEO and increase online sales, growing activity year on year. They needed to have control and flexibility of their spend and a fixed management fee enabled BeCheeky to budget accurately, as opposed to the percentage of media spend model used by some of the larger agencies at the time.

Strategy

Following keyword research and an analysis project, target keywords were recommended and mapped to the BeCheeky site to ensure the relevant pages were ranked for the appropriate keywords. Identifying gaps in content and opportunities for optimisation improvements were also established. Link-building, including distributing optimised press releases, was a core element of the innovative approach for BeCheeky. In addition, keyword data was taken from BeCheeky’s paid search campaign to inform the natural search strategy. As part of its ongoing objectives, stock levels were monitored and responded to accordingly, messaging was changed in line with promotions and ROI targets were exceeded.
 

Results

  • 13% increase in average order value, and over 16% increase in CTR%
  • Achieved a 36% increase in monthly natural search generated web traffic
  • Improved the number of transactions from natural search traffic by 177%
  • Achieved a 395% increase in sales from natural search keyword ‘bikinis’
  • Year on year Valentine’s sales from PPC increased by 49%
