In order to bring beer to life on-line we created ‘ASDA Brewhouse’, a destination to educate and excite consumers about beer. Around this we communicated ‘beer relevant’ occasions, tactical offers and promotions whilst also suggesting foods to match their beer or beer to match their food.
Brief
We were asked to create an engagement piece that brought to life beer online, whilst acquiring and converting online shoppers in a cluttered and confusing ‘drinks’ sector at ASDA.co.uk.
Strategy
We created a shop within a shop to create a new on-line category specifically for beer. In doing so the user experience is vastly improved and the beer sector becomes easier to navigate and shop. Additionally it allows for education and cross sell opportunities.
Execution
We created the ‘ASDA Brew House’ as a destination to educate and excite consumers about beer. Around this we could communicate to consumers any occasions that were ‘beer relevant’ and drive cross-category sales by suggesting foods to match their beer or beer to match their food. Additionally we could make them aware of tactical offers and promotions.
