Global website for TNT
TNT operates in a very competitive global market where online expertise plays an increasingly crucial role in the success of their brand. They came to Avvio with a requirement to create a more sophisticated website that would differentiate them from the competition and provide a best-in-class customer experience.
As they had many sites around the world an additional requirement was to create one consistent online brand that had the flexibility to adapt to local markets.
Our work began by meeting with TNT’s internet steering group and from there we began to understand the challenges TNT faced across their global network.
Next we analysed their existing site to find out what their customers and employees liked and disliked. We also examined the competition as well as other successful online booking websites. Based on these findings we presented TNT with the concept that underpins their new website.
First we planned to revise the site architecture and make it more customer focused. Next we designed a new home page that provided a channel for TNT to talk to its customers and offered easy access to the booking tools. We also rewrote the content on the website to ensure the copy was tailored to the audience and optimized for search engines.
We then tested the usability of our designs using Wireframe models. These allowed viewers to focus on the content without getting hung up on the visual design. And as the site began to come together we worked alongside TNT’s technical teams to deliver a series of HTML templates that would be integrated into their global content management system.
Lastly we created TNT’s online brand guidelines to ensure their brand would be consistently portrayed around the world.

The careful design of this multilingual website took the digital team at Avvio 12 months to develop.
