Brief
P & K are a recruitment company specialising in supply teachers to the education sector. They wanted to increase the awareness of their company within the market and drive in more recruitment leads. It was important that we reduced the amount of time that they spent with each client and on the phone. Indeed it was critical that whatever solution we produced became a central hub for their separate offices in Derby, West Midlands, and Yorkshire etc. Finally we needed to produce a database that would store candidate data in an effective way that allowed clients to submit their vacancy details.
What problems were P&K experiencing before Xcite got involved?
Prior to Xcite’s involvement, P & K were taking an enormous amount of time to send vacancy details out to each client. They had very little effective marketing, relying on word of mouth & trade journals. They experienced problems caused by having separate divisions all over the country that resulted in being disjointed as a company. Candidate data was not being stored properly, making it difficult to search and match clients to vacancies. In a limited market, P&K suffered as they were not able to build relationships with schools & supply teachers due to how difficult it was to use their service.
Strategy & Execution
Working with our project manager, a full specification and project plan was developed that covered all functionality that was required. Following this our designers took over to create a fantastic new design for their website which, once approved, was passed to our developers so that they could build it. Functionality such as a vacancies database, C.V upload facility with search and news feeds were incorporated. Finally we launched the site alongside a detailed marketing campaign that increased the coverage of P & K within the industry.
Results
The new website and marketing campaign resulted in increased turnover by 25% due to the wider coverage and integrated marketing campaigns. Due to the ease of use, retention of clients rose by 20% as P & K were now their preferred choice of recruiter. Quality of supply staff has risen, which has delighted the schools. Diversification into different areas has now been achieved too, meaning that P & K have set up a technology division to handle the recruitment needs coming from the Government digital Britain report providing an overhaul of the IT departments within schools & colleges. The result of Xcite’s work has allowed P & K flexibility to move into new and emerging markets quickly. We also achieved in a 38% uplift in visitors that equated to a 12% uplift in profits.
