Challenge Churchill microsite
As part of the sponsorship of ‘Beat the Star’ on ITV and as an extension of the Challenge Churchill campaign the Challenge Churchill microsite was launched. The primary aim of the site was to increase brand awareness and interaction with insurance buyers online. The site uses ‘challenges’ for Churchill the dog, which were referenced and used across a variety of media channels, include web, mobile, television and iTV.
Online advertising
Churchill Insurance had used banner, skyscraper, and page peels before. However in this campaign the creative reached new heights with internet users being able to engage with the Churchill brand through mini Flash based games. The ever present Churchill dog challenges the web visitor with questions about the Churchill insurance offer. The ads end with users being directed through to the Churchill Insurance website for their own personal quote.
Beat the Star – interactive television
The creative theme of challenges was carried through to interactive television linking in directly with the ‘Beat the Star sponsorship. The iTV page reflects the functionality of the website with people able to play the ‘Name that quote’ game and entering the free prize draw.
Mobile applications
The mobile application of the Churchill ‘Beat the Star’ campaign allows users to download wallpapers and ringtones of the iconic Churchill Insurance Dog. This is integrated with the microsite to provide simple functionality for the user
