BSC

Brief
Business Startup Community (BSC) is the essential website for start-ups and small business owners.
BSC had a keen interest in learning as much as possible – its own email marketing program to its members was starting to run into some serious deliverability issues, with regular instances of ISP blocking and black listings being the order of the day.
Strategy
A combination of a poor sender reputation score, and a high spam risk profile, meant that only 3 out of every 4 emails that BSC was sending was actually getting to the inbox.
A data hygiene exercise for BSC’s email addresses to remove any potentially problematic records.
Implementation of email authentication, including a dedicated sub-domain for email broadcasting, a sender policy framework (SPF) record, and the introduction of domain keys identified mail (DKIM).
A rigorous bounce back management program to ensure that addresses which are no longer delivering are removed from consideration for further broadcast selection.
Execution
Once these actions had been carried out, BSC was allocated with a new IP address so that it could start building up a healthy set of sender reputation metrics.
Results
Since adopting DbGi as its email broadcast partner, BSC has seen a stunning upturn in its sender reputation fortunes.
Its sender reputation score has increased by a remarkable 40 points to its current value of 90, while its spam risk profile now has a healthy “low” ranking. The benefit for BSC is an astonishing 100% accepted rate.
