Social Networking in the Enterprise

Why does social networking matter in today’s enterprise environment? And how does it, or perhaps should it, effect your organisation. We will provide an insight into social networking in the enterprise, focusing on the problems and lessons learned implementing social networking in a university environment with potentially a hundred thousand end users. We will also look at how social networking can help you engage with your end users and how this can be achieved whilst still delivering a single integrated and personalised content management solution.

Ian Truscott- Vice President, WCM Product Strategy, Alterian
Don’t Shout! Engage With Your Online Audience

Once you have someone browsing your website, you’ve a chance to engage, to persuade and to educate a captive audience. But with the next site or page just one click away, you’ve just seconds to grab their attention. And customers have high expectations these days. They want faster responses to requests, more conversational interactions, and more relevant content.

As organizations strive to make their websites more personalized in an effort to improve the customer experience and engage more effectively with their prospects, they need to exert the power of their Web Content Management systems in order to make content more dynamic and relevant to individual users.

Web Content Management systems can no longer be used in isolation from other marketing technologies, but need to become part of an integrated marketing platform that combines online channels, data analytics and other marketing technologies.
